Meet Simran

Inspired by film and movies, Simran creates a photography style that invokes profound feeling, wonder and nostalgia. Defined by her unique approach to every shoot, she creates images that tell whole stories frozen in time while keeping the same feel and aesthetic of her ever-evolving artistic style.

Heavily influenced by colours in her South Asian heritage and previous work in the makeup industry, Simran creates vibrant images that look like movie stills. Her photography uses a lot of natural light and incorporates the time of day and type of lighting into the story she tells.

Based currently in Calgary, Alberta and WOC owned, Simran Photography continues to work towards doing elopements, weddings and portraits all over the world.
